Coordinated and Connected Patient Care
Streamlining communication throughout the Capital Division is a key focus for the IT&S team, so in an effort to strengthen the relationship between patients and clinicians, the division deployed new, interoperable nurse call technology. Featuring automated call routing, escalation and notification features, and smart phone device integration, this foundational technology improves the coordination and management of administrative functions, increases staff efficiency, enhances clinician and patient communication, and contributes significantly to positive patient experiences.
Serving the Community
In 2015, Loudoun County, Virginia, saw its first new hospital in over a century. The new 230,000 square foot, 124-bed state-of-the-art StoneSprings Hospital Center increases access to innovative and high-quality healthcare for area residents, improves emergency preparedness capabilities, and provides new jobs and tax revenue to fund important community services. The new hospital center was an enormous IT undertaking, and through the collective efforts of the enterprise, the community now has access to HCA’s high-quality healthcare close to home.
